    • Share list of possible funding opportunities (PFO)
    • Check out Media, Government and Citizen concerns
    • Set goals for the day

AM:

  • Write proposals for funding.  Must be at least 1 paragraph with descriptive details of the project.  (You may need to work with energy company on this)
  • Continue calculations
  • Talk to media and find a way to promote your company via the media (possibly make and info-graphic or trailer)
  • Look through example proposals to decide what information you will put in your proposal

Work Day 3!

Agenda:

    2. Concerns/questions

      2. Tone in office (welcoming, friendly, helpful)
    3. Report back from press conference (Austin, Logan, RJ)
    4. Update on WBDC facts   ----Population is 200,000 people  (approx. 66,500 households)
    5. Make sure everyone knows which energy company the will be sitting in on when the engineers are here
    6. Set goals for the day
AM Work Session:
  • Create a business card for your team (Mr. Patterson is available for help.)
  • Ask questions to Siemens engineers
PM Work Session:
  • Group Meeting at 12:10 ---Share presentations for energy companies with the group (give each other +/- feedback)
  • Edit Presentations  (Practice presentation --- Each person will be doing one presentation)
  • Finish and print business cards
  • Meet with your partner @1:20  Share edited presentations that will be given in the morning and determine what needs to be finished for homework.

    3. Answer questions/concerns
    4. Decide on a company name
    5. Create a comfortable working environment (gather supplies and materials)
    6. Set goals for the day
    7. Create a company name
  2. Make name tags
  3. Create a slogan/tag line for your "Team" or our company
  4. Talk to energy companies to determine what they need from you.
  5. Find out what the media is saying...
  6. Any government concerns????
  7. Continue research finding statistics and graphs to support how you will help the energy company
  8. Find comparative towns that are using the same energy sources
  9. Create a presentation for each energy company you will interview with (Should be at least 2 minutes)
  10. Write questions for Siemens engineers (they will be in tomorrow)
  11. Group Meeting @12:30 Compare questions for Siemens & add to questions if necessary
  12. Press Conference at 1:10
  13. Wrap-up and determine HW for tonight.

Welcome to Work - Day 1!

Today's Priorities:

  • Determine Roles
  • Pick 2 energy sources you prefer
  • Know Pro's and Con's of 2 different energy sources
  • Find statistics that will support both energy companies.
  • Know the impact of this energy source on the community (determine possible citizen concerns and how you will handle them)
Then:
Research marketing strategies
Create a slogan
Create a visual 






Role of Business Development Advisors:


  • Make sure company is meeting the customer’s needs
  •  Effectively Markets the product
  • Understands cost of running the business and takes care of budget
  •  Apply for grants/funding 
  •  Analyzing data


You will be expected to present your business’s potential to provide electricity for WBDC.
